I support legalizing marijuana for adult use.

Wisconsin is surrounded by states that have already moved in this direction, and many residents are already crossing state lines to purchase products legally elsewhere. The current situation creates confusion, inconsistent enforcement, and sends tax revenue to neighboring states.

Responsible Regulation

Like alcohol, marijuana should be regulated, taxed, and restricted for minors. Public safety, impaired driving laws, and responsible use standards should remain important considerations. Regulate. Tax. Protect minors. Enforce impaired-driving laws.

Individual Liberty

I believe legal adults should have the freedom to make their own decisions, provided those decisions do not harm others. For me, this is both a practical issue and a question of individual liberty.
