Wisconsin Education Association Council endorsement
The Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC) has endorsed Christian Ellis, an Independent candidate for Wisconsin State Senate District 9.
WEAC President Peggy Wirtz-Olsen notified Christian of the recommendation via letter, noting that WEAC members in the legislative district would be informed of the recommendation and encouraged to support his candidacy.
"I am pleased to inform you that you have received the recommendation from your union of educators."
Christian thanked WEAC for its support and for its work on behalf of Wisconsin's educators and public schools.
"Public education matters to the future of our communities, and I appreciate the confidence WEAC has placed in me," Christian said. "As a County Board Supervisor, a small business owner, and a parent, I've seen how much our communities depend on strong schools and the people who work in them."
Christian's approach to public service is rooted in listening to the people directly affected by public decisions, understanding the challenges they face, and taking responsibility for the decisions he makes.
The WEAC recommendation is one of several endorsements Christian has received from people and organizations across District 9.
