AN INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE FOR AN INDEPENDENT PEOPLE.
Why I’m running for state senate:
This moment Demands More from all of us.
I believe in individual freedom. Real freedom is when families are not crushed under the weight of healthcare or insurance costs, the cost of child care, or the cost of their own taxes. We must address the affordability crisis that is hurting our rural communities and our family farms the hardest.
At the same time, we have to be forward-thinking. Our world is changing, and that has drastic implications when it comes to infrastructure needs, water management, roads, and emergency preparedness. Ignoring that reality does not protect taxpayers, families, or businesses, but hurts them.
We need to fund our public schools. We need those schools to invest in programs that build confidence, curiosity, and resilience. However, year after year, our schools are being asked to do more with less. They are cutting programs. They are laying off staff. They are closing their doors. We cannot afford to allow this to continue.
The needs of our district are not being met.
We need to take a long, hard look at who we are sending to Madison to represent us. The hardworking people of Senate District 9 deserve representation that will fight for them, not abandon them in the face of adversity.
I am not a politician - I do not pretend to be the smartest person in the room. I believe that true leadership requires us to listen, to use our own expertise when appropriate, and to be fearless when confronted with new challenges and obstacles.
I’m running because we need to get back to a shared sense of reality and a shared commitment to making progress together. That starts with integrity in public office and an independent willingness to focus on the common good rather than personal or partisan agendas.
I want Wisconsin to be a place where our kids can do better than we did.
As a father of four, I want the world that my children inherit to be one filled with opportunity. In my capacity as a youth soccer coach, I have come to appreciate just how strong, resilient, and passionate young people can be when working towards a common goal. Our next generation deserves every opportunity possible to pursue their strengths and should not be held back because of any decision made in Madison.
Meet Christian
I grew up near Oostburg in rural Sheboygan County and have spent most of my adult life working, raising a family, and showing up in the same communities that I now hope to represent.
I was born in the old Plymouth Hospital in 1981 and raised in what we used to joke was the “suburbs of Oostburg”, graduating from Oostburg High School in 2000. After high school, I served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve while attending college before I was deployed to Iraq in 2004. Deployment was a seminal experience that shaped my perspective on responsibility, teamwork, and consequences.
Today, my wife and I are raising four kids in Sheboygan Falls. Our daily schedules revolve around school, youth sports, and the many practical realities that families face.
Professionally, I run a small recruiting business in town. The work keeps me connected to manufacturers, small businesses, and working families across Wisconsin and reinforces a simple lesson: listen first, understand the problem clearly, then follow through.
My community involvement began with coaching local youth soccer, something that I still do to this day. Over the years, that work has expanded into broader community service. I served as the treasurer for the citizen committee that helped pass the Sheboygan Falls middle school referendum and was involved in organizing a new recreational soccer program in Sheboygan Falls. I am currently serving my third term on the county board.
I am running as an Independent for Wisconsin State Senate because I believe our state needs practical leadership rooted in real communities.
Our state needs more people who are not driven by any one particular ideology, but rather by their love for their community, to run for something bigger than themselves.
I love my community. I love this district. It would be my honor to represent you in Madison.
