He also stated that unsupported claims of "stolen elections" are corrosive to public trust and inconsistent with the democratic values that unite our communities.

Confidence in Our Elections Begins with Confidence in Our Neighbors

One of the strengths of our democracy is that elections aren't run by distant politicians. They're run by our neighbors.

Across Wisconsin, Republican, Democratic, and nonpartisan clerks, along with thousands of volunteer election workers, spend long hours ensuring every eligible voter can cast a ballot and every lawful ballot is counted. They deserve our gratitude, not our suspicion.

That is why I reject claims that our elections are routinely "stolen" or manipulated without credible evidence. Those accusations don't just target public officials, they undermine the trust that holds communities together. When we tell people their vote doesn't matter or that the outcome was predetermined, we weaken faith in the very system that gives citizens a voice.

Questioning government is healthy. Demanding accountability is essential. But making sweeping claims of election fraud without proof is neither responsible nor patriotic.

This week, I'll be completing training to serve as a Chief Elections Inspector at my local polling place during the August primary. Although I won't be on the ballot until November, I'm proud to help ensure that every voter, regardless of party, has the opportunity to participate in a secure, orderly, and fair election.

Democracy doesn't depend on everyone agreeing about politics. It depends on all of us respecting the process, accepting legitimate results, and continuing the work of self-government together.

That's the kind of leadership I'll bring to Madison.
