Sheboygan County Food Bank

Christian spent a morning volunteering at the Sheboygan County Food Bank, helping distribute food shares to families across the community. He later sat down with Patrick Boyle to learn more about the Food Bank's work and the network of volunteers, nonprofits, businesses, churches, schools, and donors that makes it possible. The experience reinforced something Christian has heard throughout the campaign: strong communities depend on relationships, trust, and people willing to show up for their neighbors.

Meals on Wheels

Christian recently volunteered delivering meals through Meals on Wheels. What initially seemed like a simple delivery route became an opportunity to see the community one household at a time. Each stop offered a different glimpse into people's lives and circumstances, reinforcing that broad issues like aging, healthcare, and community support are ultimately experienced by individuals and families. The experience also deepened Christian's appreciation for the volunteers who quietly show up week after week to help their neighbors.

Christian has spent much of this year talking with educators, nonprofit leaders, local officials, first responders, business owners, and residents across Senate District 9. While every conversation is different, several themes keep coming up: housing, workforce challenges, infrastructure, and the long-term health of our communities.
